About Us
Mabiang Seni starts from the etymology of the word ‘biang’ in the local balinese dialect, meaning ‘mother’. In Bahasa Indonesia itself, ‘biang’ can also represent the roots, the origin of something. It is a tribute to the owner, who is a mother of three, able to support the main vision of the team: to let art be as nurturing and deep-rooted as a maternal figure in your life.
Our Mission
With that, our mission is to be able to create an environment that enables artists to develop their own artistic visions, supported by room for growth through their art practice and constructive dialogues –between you and your artwork, between you and other artists. In the future as we develop this on-site and off-site, we would like to strengthen the artistic environment as a whole by promoting other art facilities, museums, galleries, and other art-related facilities in Bali.
